The first donation of 2026 for a nonprofit organization in Perry was announced on Monday.

According to 100+ People for Perry Co-Organizer Tom Lipovac, group members pledged $6,800 to the Perry Piecemakers Quilts of Valor Project during the first quarterly meeting of the year. Lipovac invites anyone in the community to also donate to the overall project.

In the 11th year, Lipovac says the group has contributed $278,800 to 41 nonprofit organizations. He adds that anyone can join at any time and the next meeting will be held on May 26 at the Hotel Pattee.
