Greene County Cattlemen’s Association is hosting their annual banquet and trophy auction later this week.

According to the non-profit organization, the event will be held at Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds this Saturday, with a social time starting at 6pm, followed by a ribeye steak dinner, with sides from Jefferson Hy-Vee at 6:30pm. Last year’s fundraiser brought in $24,243, which Vice President Brandon Muir says was used in over 20 projects and other groups, including $13,250 of scholarships that went to 2025 graduating Greene County and Paton-Churdan seniors, along with additional funds to those who were previous scholarship winners that are in their second year of college.

Organizers state that after the meal will be some brief remarks, along with an overview of 2025, before the live auction carries out the evening.

Tickets are $25 per person and are available from any of the Greene County Cattlemen’s Association members or at the door.
