Jefferson Matters invites anyone who is a business owner or an entrepreneur to a new event next week.
The Economic Vitality Team announces the Build Your Own Business (BYOB) will be held at The Courtyard Wedding and Events Center in Jefferson this coming Monday from 5:30-7pm. Jefferson Matters Director Matt Wetrich says this is a worthwhile opportunity that gets down to the details of helpful information for locally-owned businesses.
“This is going to be more of a four-person panel to let you know where to go to find resources you need. Whether it’s to grow your business that you’re in right now or if you’re really looking at starting something new. Each of us have a unique set of resources to help businesses or entrepreneurs and this is a great spot.”
The panelists include Wetrich with Jefferson Matters, Jefferson City Building Official Chad Stevens, Greene County Development Corporation Director Greg Piklapp and the North Central Iowa Small Business Development Center Regional Director Kirsten Case Fuller. Piklapp gives a node to the Economic Vitality Team for hosting this event because every business owner needs ways to start or grow their company.
“This is great! And right now, in this economy especially, people are looking for new options, looking to take that next step. We really just want to help them so they don’t have to worry about trying to find resources on their own. We have these trained professionals here to help you. Let’s use our knowledge and help you get that next step as a small business owner.”
Wetrich adds that there will be free pizza and a time for business professionals to network as well. He says registration is not required, but appreciated by clicking here.
