Day two of the Class 1A State Bowling Tournament at Cadillac Lanes in Waterloo saw Greene County’s two individual qualifiers compete. Junior Chase Fecher finished in fifth place after qualifying for the finals in the eighth and final spot from the preliminary round. Senior Teagan Chisholm was tenth in the prelims. Only the bowlers with the eight highest series advanced to the quarterfinals. Fecher’s three game series was 699 and Chisholm’s was 695. Fecher rolled prelim games of 248, 228, 223, while Chisholm’s scores in the prelims were 212, 235, 248.

As the eighth seed, Chisholm faced the top seeded bowler, Lucas Clark of Columbus Catholic (Waterloo) in the quarterfinals, and lost 255-213. That put him into the consolation semifinals where he defeated Bryce Giza of Clarke (Osceola) by a 238-234 score. Fecher then advanced to the fifth place match and won 235-172 over Draven Cole of Durant.

Coach John Woodford watched his two bowlers far exceed where they entered the tournament as both were not in the top 20 in the field of 32 prior to the tournament starting.
