The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday, and discussed some very important business.

The Board approved to continue support with the current funding request from the Guthrie County Fair Board, giving the group $8,000 for 4-H activities, and $20,000 for use regarding upkeep and operation of the fairgrounds. They then discussed possibly implementing a five percent increase for pay to county employees with the start of the new fiscal year, though no formal decision was made.

Finally, at 10:10am the Board, along with County Engineer Josh Sebern, opened bids regarding the County Road P28 Pavement Rehabilitation project. There were seven multi-million dollar bids, ranging from just short of $6 million, and just over $7.5 million. Sebern and his department will take the next week to review all paperwork to make sure everything filed is correct, then bring back a proposal to award a contract at the next supervisors meeting on March 3rd.
