Panorama Activities Director Bruce Dahlhauser highlights the great strides taken this year by the Panthers Girls Wrestling Team.

Dahlhauser explains that girls wrestling is exciting because the sport is continuing to evolve in terms of popularity and the quality of individuals participating. He notes that the sport isn’t only growing across the state of Iowa, but also within the community of Panora. Dahlhauser points to the numbers of participants on the girls middle school wrestling team increasing as well, and that Panorama is blessed to have great leadership. Although the Panthers didn’t get any wrestlers to the girls state tournament, Dahlhauser knows that the girls worked extremely hard.

“I don’t think that’s a reflection of how the season went. And I think wrestling more than anything is a culmination of that one day, you get to that district or the regional, and it’s win and you go to state and lose and go home. There’s so many factors that’s in play.”

Dahlhauser expresses that he witnessed plenty of growth on the girls side and is looking forward to the future of that program. Notable wrestlers that will be returning for Panorama in the 2026-27 season include Gracie Recker and Emma Walker.
