The Panorama School Board approved an elementary english language learning curriculum in their February meeting.
Superintendent Kasey Huebner says that the Board approved the Amplify curriculum for kindergarten through 5th grade students. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio why they chose to do this.
“Really, the last two years, our staff has really dug into the science of reading and really learning how to teach reading differently, and language comprehension with word recognition and building that background knowledge.”
Huebner mentions that teachers will be able to start learning the curriculum by the end of the current school year, and use it for the next school year. He adds that this curriculum will help meet the district’s goals, and that they are excited for it.
