
Greene County finished the high school boys’ basketball season with a 3-19 record and last place finish in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference at 2-14. Coach Chris Nelson’s team suffered a significant blow midseason when senior Broc Stream tore knee ligaments vs. West Marshall (State Center) and had season ending surgery. Stream led the Rams in scoring at 10.4 points per game for a team that averaged 43.5.
The Rams made 32.8% of its field goal attempts and shot 24.6% behind the three-point line. The free throw percentage rose during the season to a season best 56% at season’s end. The Rams were just short of seven steals per game and had a 0.5 assist to turnover ratio.
Stream was the lone Ram to score in double figures with senior Teagan Chisholm at 8.36 and junior Lincoln Schwander at 7.8 points per contest. Senior Rafe Michaelsen led the Rams in rebounds per game at 6.1 with Schwander at 5.6 and junior Zack Stalder at 5.1 per contest.
