West Central Valley Girls Wrestling Head Coach Amanda Carl pinpoints the growth the team displayed throughout the 2025-26 season.

The Wildcats did have one individual that made it to the state wrestling tournament in junior Willow Ray for the second year in a row, as she went 1-2 during the competition. However, West Central Valley had great contributions this year from Rhowen Miller, Lorelei Grinnell, Elyzah Olson, and Elizabeth Handy. Wildcat Head Coach Amanda Carl says that the girls developed so much throughout the season, thanks to unselfishness of their peers.

“It’s a whole team effort, but it’s their teammates pushing them and then pushing their teammates to succeed beyond what they have already had done. And it’s just great to see the growth between the girls that way.”

Carl mentions that she enjoyed being around the team this year because of the bond the girls have with each other from on the mat to outside experiences.
