The Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center School Boards met in regular session Monday night.
Superintendent Josh Rasmussen says that they discussed different things that have been going on since the last meeting, including athletic and academic success. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio part of what his update to the Boards included.
“We’re interviewing for many open positions. We’re steadily filling those. Most recently just lining up a head football coach and activities director and high school principal interviews starting next week. So, looking forward to getting those started.”
Rasmussen mentions that the Board set public hearings for the 2026-27 proposed tax rate for March 25th, with the GC Board holding theirs at 6pm at the high school, and the AC Board holding theirs at 7pm at the junior high. A public hearing for the 2026-27 school calendar was set for March 18th just before the regular joint meeting of the Boards.
Rasmussen adds that the Boards also both approved the whole grade sharing agreement and invoice for the first semester, along with the wellness policy for both districts. The GC Board then approved the purchase of a van, to work with Vibes Audio to revamp the high school gymnasium’s audio system for $40,505, and a student class funds transfer.
