Feb. 22
Kevin Chew, Dallas Center, was driving on Hwy 44 between W and X Ave when he lost control on the ice and went into the ditch, rolling the vehicle. All occupants were checked by EMS and no injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $25,000.
Feb. 23
Carter Greenslade, Adel, was driving in the 21000 block of N Ave when he slowed and signed for a left hand turn. Miguel Rios Zamora was following Mr. Greenslade and attempted to pass him as Mr. Greenslade was turning left, causing a collision. No injuries were reported and damage to Mr. Greenslade’s vehicle was estimated at $500. Damage to Mr. Zamora’s vehicle was estimated at $2,000. Mr. Zamora was issued a citation for Unsafe Passing.
Abbigail Rogers, age 25, 516 2nd St, Redfield, was arrested for Driving While License Denied or Revoked. She was also arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear. The original charge was Driving While License Denied Or Revoked.
Sergio Saucedo, age 47, 704 7th St, Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for Violation Of Probation.
Feb. 24
Dominique Nordheim, age 30, 5900 Sutton Place, Urbandale, was arrested on a warrant for Violated Probation Terms.
Keith Bittner, age 33, 18851 240th St, Adel, was arrested on a warrant for Harassment-3rd Degree.
Ayden Auch, age 18, 5506 SW 7th St, Des Moines, was arrested for Possession Of Controlled Substance, Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia and issued a citation for Person Under 21 Using Tobacco/ Vapor Product.
Thomas Mastin, age 45, 1302 Warford St, Perry, was arrested for Driving While Barred.
Feb. 25
Sienna Rhoten, Pella, was driving in the 29000 block of El Paso Ave, when she hit a deer. No injuries were reported and damage was estimated at $5,000. The vehicle was towed privately from the scene.
Feb. 26
Charles Young, age 47, 1603 Greene St, Adel, was arrested on a warrant for Failure To Appear. The original charge was Driving While License Denied, Suspended, Cancelled Or Revoked.
Samuel Casey, Granger, was traveling on Hey 141 at 170th St when a vehicle driven by Jacob Morgan, Bayard, pulled into the intersection, causing a collision. No injuries were reported. Damage to Mr. Casey’s vehicle was estimated at $10,000 and damage to Mr. Morgan’s vehicle was estimated at $5,000. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Mr. Morgan was issued a citation for Failure To Yield Upon Entering Through Highway.
Feb. 27
Lauren Pope, age 22, 2863 325th st, North English, was arrested for Possession Of Controlled Substance.
Abdulhadi Almohammad, West Des Moines, was traveling North on Hwy 169 and attempted to turn onto Hwy 141 when he lost control and slid into a light pole. No EMS was requested and damage was estimated at $15,000.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation, the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
