Awards Night for Greene County High School Wrestling was held last night at Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds in Jefferson. Coach Zach Beekman and his coaching staff handed out varsity letters and other awards.

The Outstanding Varsity Wrestling Award went to junior Brennan Jacobs. The 106 pounder also received the Warrior Ethos Award in honor of Jake Taggart. Junior Jaron Jacobs (120 lbs.) received the Iron Heart Award in honor of Fred Watson. Sophomore Joel Duckett (126) received Outstanding JV wrestler honors in honor of Logan Scheuermann, and junior Mason Haley (285) received the Most Improved Varsity Wrestler Award in honor of Aaron Beaman. The Citizenship Award in honor of Brad Badger went to sophomore Kole Johnson-Peterson (113).

Super Booster Awards went to the Flack Family as well as the Little Ram Mat Club.

State qualifiers were the Jacobs twins, as well as junior Degan Miller (165 lbs.). Miller is a three-time State qualifier while both Jacobs have qualified each of the last two seasons.

Managers are Naphtali Hout, Azaria Reed, Zoe Smith, and Poppy Wetrich. Cheerleaders are Britleigh Hamann, Brystol Hamann, Elli Wolterman, Isabelle Louk, Chloe Rumley, and Maddie Mobley.

There were no senior wrestlers this season, so despite low numbers of participants, the Rams would seem to have more experience returning next season than this season.
