Greene County High School Head Cheerleading Coach Deb Wolterman informed Raccoon Valley Radio that three members of her Cheer Squad have been selected to cheer at the 2026 Iowa Shrine Bowl All-Star Football Game. The three are Alivia Cornell, Mylie Miller, and Elli Wolterman. The contest is inside the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls on Saturday, July 25 at 4 p.m.

Wolterman told Raccoon Valley Radio the trio was recognized recently at Za-Ga-Zig Shrine in Altoona during the 2026 Shrine Bowl Banquet. “Earning a spot on this elite squad is no small accomplishment,” said Wolterman. She added, “The girls were first nominated by both myself and our Activities Director Dave Wright. From there, they completed a virtual tryout that included three jumps, a cheer, a chant, a dance routine, and a tumbling pass (if they possessed the skill). Out of the four athletes who tried out, three made the team- an incredible achievement!’

The trio will report to UNI on July 20 for two-a-day practices and activities centered around supporting Shriner Children. Wolterman concluded, “We are extremely proud to have not just one, but three of our athletes selected for this honor. I have no doubt they will represent Greene County with pride and excellence while raising funds and supporting the Shriner Children!”

Cornell is a senior, Wolterman a junior, and Miller is a sophomore.
