A business that is located in Jefferson has found a new home.
Schyler Bardole is the owner of Iowa Mowbotics, which is a robotic lawn and slowblower business, recently announced moving to the former RA Baxley Transportation, at 111 North Chestnut Street, on the east side of the downtown square.
He tells Raccoon Valley Radio the main reason for needing to move to a larger space from where his business was, on the east side of the former Greater Life Chiropractic building, and not to another community, was to keep his location local, bring in clients to ring the register here and to support the Local Option Sales and Services Tax for infrastructure projects that the community can benefit from.
On a recent trip to Bardole’s former location, the parent company of Yarbo had its European Sales Director Andy Liu stop by and check out the products, and he says the company has a global reach.
“Twenty-four different countries in Europe across Europe and we have certain countries we have big distributors, some countries will go as traditional dealerships. We are now settling quite well in Europe, now, like France, Italy (and) Denmark, you know, nordic states. Baltics, even the Baltics, and they also got some snow. And the sales there is really satisfying. Can you imagine that we’ve sold over 150 units in the Baltic states? It’s small countries, but we sell it quite well.”
Bardole points out that they are going to renovate the upper story apartments as well. He shares that customers that come from out of town will schedule a time to meet him at his business and then they will go out to eat or shop locally sometimes. He is excited to stay in the downtown area and he likes being involved in the community, despite the fact that his storefront isn’t open some of the time.
