Now that the basketball season has come to a close for the Perry Bluejays, senior Jacobo Cerna-Gomez prepares to transition from basketball shape to soccer shape.
As the second highest goal scorer last season with 18 goals scored and leading the team in assists with 22, Cerna-Gomez looks to guide the Bluejays soccer team towards success in his final season with the program. With his 22 assists season last year, Jacobo cemented his name in Bluejays soccer history as the highest amount of assists in a single season, and has claimed the career assists record as well with 34.
The first match of the season for the Bluejays is scheduled for Monday, March 30th as Perry plays host to the ADM Tigers. The Bluejays look to repeat history, after defeating ADM in the season opener last season 3-0.
