Adel-DeSoto-Minburn senior Hayden Dennis is gearing up for her final high school soccer season, as the Tigers look to make another run at the state tournament.
A year ago, ADM finished the season with a 12-7-1 record, and beat Spencer 3-0 in the Class 2A Region 8 Championship game to reach the state tournament in Ames. The Tigers skated by Independence 2-1 in the First Round, but fell 3-1 to Waverly-Shell Rock in the Semifinals. As a junior, Dennis played in 19 games and is looking forward to providing a bigger role on the team this year. She details the areas she’s been focusing on during the offseason.
“We’ve been doing a lot of conditioning to make sure that we’re ready for our first couple of games. And then just passing and working together with our new freshmen coming up and adapting to our new team environment.”
ADM will host a scrimmage in Adel versus Johnston on March 27th, before opening the regular season in Adel on April 2nd against North Polk.
