After punching his ticket to the state wrestling championships during his junior campaign, Townes Wilson of the Perry Bluejays wrestling team reflected on why he loves the sport of wrestling and the rewards that come with it.
“It’s definitely a different sport, and there’s a lot of different things to it, but I think the grind of it and the reward of when your work finally pays off really does make you want to continue to do it. It makes me love it every single day.”
Wilson returns next season for one final round with the Bluejays wrestling team and looks to help guide Perry as one of the teams seniors.
