The Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center School Boards met in session February 23rd.

Superintendent Josh Rasmussen says that one topic that came up was the Instructional Support levy. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio this supports anything tied to instruction.

“It’s (an) additional 10 percent that you get of authority for each child that comes in and studies in your building. So that’s due for renewal. So we discussed making that a Board action here at an upcoming meeting and just kind of informing our community.”

Rasmussen mentions that all but one school in the state receives this levy. He adds that this new renewal would give a little more authority as to what instructional items they can cover when it comes to that cost per student.
