The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office has made arrests regarding threats made towards Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center High School.

According to the sheriff’s office, they were made aware of threats two 15 year old students made towards the student body as a whole, as well as the AC/GC High School Principal. The threats were allegedly made last Friday during the school day, but were only reported to district administration Monday morning about 8am. The sheriff’s office shares that when they began investigating the threats, the two suspected students were believed to be out of the county, but that around 1pm, both juveniles came to the sheriff’s office, but refused to speak.

At this time, both individuals are being charged with threat of terrorism, a Class D Felony. The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office maintained a presence at the high school throughout the day, and explains that at no point was there ever an active threat during the day.
