
The Dallas County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday.
The Board heard construction updates and approved pay applications for capital projects, including the evidence storage and firing range for the sheriff’s office, Dallas County Courthouse renovation project and the Secondary Roads Administration Addition. The Board also continued its discussion on future space needs for the county attorney and auditor’s offices.
The Board heard an update from the Historic Preservation Commission.
Items on the agenda that were approved included a resolution awarding bids for the F-90 paving and H Avenue bridge projects and setting a public hearing for the five year road construction program and budget for March 24.
The Board also approved the Phase 5 RRVT South Loop Rehab Project Agreement. Dallas County Conservation Director Curt Cable said construction is slated to begin in the spring or summer of 2027 in the City of Adel, from S 18th Street to S 5th Street.
Other items that were approved included a sheriff’s office vehicle purchase request and setting a public hearing for the fiscal year 2027 proposed property tax levy, which will be held at 7 p.m. on March 31.
