West Central Valley Girls Basketball Head Coach Dan Druivenga is amped up for the future of the program, knowing that many players will help contribute in the upcoming season.
Druivenga says that with the development of the freshmen this year on the varsity squad, that it will give them more confidence going forward. He notes that the two seniors Macy Long and Talia Williams provided great leadership to the underclassmen on the squad, sharing advice to pass on to their future teammates. Druivenga highlights that Long and Williams did a nice job educating the younger girls.
“Really this year was a learning year for them to learn some fundamentals, and then learn our offenses and defenses and so on. I think they’re going to help contribute a little bit more next year, so we can play a little deeper.”
In addition to the freshmen, Druivenga will be looking to get more contributions from sophomores Zoey Reicks, Grace Bleckwehl, Abbie Fennessey, and Ava Stodden.
