With all nine of the Heart of Iowa Conference girls basketball team seasons completed, the All-Conference selections have been released. Lily Myers was named on the second team all conference squad, while sophomore Addison Perks and senior Karagyn Whelchel were named honorable mentions.

Perry wrapped up the season second to last in Heart of Iowa Conference with a 2-14 conference record. As a senior, Whelchel wrapped up her Jayettes basketball career as the second highest scorer for Perry this season with 193 points scored and led the team in assists with 68. Karagyn lead the team in points from beyond the arc as well shooting 27.6% from three going 45/163.

Perks wrapped up her second year with the Jayettes as the third highest scorer for Perry with 118 points averaging 5.4 points per game. The sophomore’s defense also improved, with the second highest amount of steals on the squad with 52 this season. Perks also took chances from long range, going 13/89 from three point range for a 14.6% three pointer percentage.

Karagyn Whelchel’s high school basketball career comes to a close with an honorable mention on the Heart of Iowa Conference team while Addison Perks looks to continue to improve in her next two seasons.
