Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Bowling Head Coach Jason Kilker shows his appreciation towards the seniors that participated in their final season for the program.
The Tigers had four seniors on the squad this year with Cole Darling, Treyton Lee, Colby Simons and Ty Lovejoy. Kilker notes that Darling and Lovejoy were apart of the Waukee partnership before ADM formed their own team during the 2024-25 season.
Kilker says that he’s glad that Lee joined the team this season, after participating in basketball for the first three years. Kilker mentions that Simons is also a multi-sport athlete, with football as his primary focus, but brings the leadership over to the bowling team.
“He usually has that same (mindset) as Cole (Darling) too, where he’s just able to lock in and do what he’s supposed to do. But he also brings a little bit of humor and a little bit of flair, and his own attitude a little bit to the bowling (team) too. So, he’s a great asset, who’s going to be missed as well.”
In only their second year as a lone program, ADM placed second at the Iowa High School Athletic Association Class 2A Team Tournament on February 24th, while Darling was named the two-time Class 2A Individual Champion on February 25th.
