Adel-DeSoto-Minburn seniors Elise Coghlan, Brecken Morse, and Peyton Standley will be featured on tonight’s Raccoon Valley Bank Dallas County PM Sports Magazine to preview the 2026 Track and Field season.

All three seniors will be participating in their final high school season for the Tigers. Coghlan will be running in the hurdle events this year as well as the open 400 meter dash; Morse will be doing the open 200 meters, open 400, and open 800; while Standley will run in the open 100 and 200 meter dash. ADM has won two consecutive state championships, as Morse describes it as a special feeling.

“I think it just holds us to a high standard and everyone else to a high standard, and it just carries on through the years, so it’s nice.”

Coghlan shares the advice that the previous seniors passed down to her.

“Just keep the legacy going, and just making sure that we make the whole team feel comfortable and not just the upperclassmen. Be friends with everyone.”

Standley is hoping that the younger girls on the team feel welcome.

“I just want to be someone that they can rely on, especially since it’s all new for them. They haven’t really experienced that type of environment with high school, so just encouraging them to be authentic, but also to reach out and make new connections.”

ADM will participate in their first competition tomorrow at the UNI-Dome in Cedar for the Dickinson Relays at 2pm. Coghlan, Morse, and Standley will be apart of tonight’s Raccoon Valley Bank Dallas County PM Sports Magazine on KDLS 94.3/99.7 FM and AM 1310, starting at 6pm. The program features interviews including athletes from Perry and Dallas Center-Grimes as well.
