The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Track and Field Team participated in their first meet of the 2025-26 season on Monday for the Dickinson Relays at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls.

ADM competed in a field of over 50 teams, as key performances include sophomore Zane Johnson finishing eighth place in the 60 meter dash at 7.04 seconds, then junior Christian Paul ran 55.02 seconds in the open 400 meters, sophomore Jack Leistikow posted 2:10.47 in the open 800 meters, and sophomore Maddox Pitzen record 5 feet and 8 inches in the high jump. 

Also, sophomore Garrett Gerleman went 5.56 meters in the long jump event and sophomore Colin Woerdehoff threw 13.62 meters in the shot put. The Tigers’ 4×400 meter relay team ran 3:51.64 for 27th place, then the 4×800 meter relay squad ran 8:58.25 for 24th overall.

ADM will be back in action on Thursday for the Iowa Association of Track Coaches Indoor Class 3A Championships at the Lied Recreation Athletic Center in Ames at 9am. The full results from the Dickinson Relays can be found by clicking here.
