The AC/GC Chargers girls basketball team’s season has been over for a few weeks now, and their leader looks back on the season.

Head Coach Brad Baudler says that while they may not have been happy with how the year ended, finishing with a 17-5 record is something that many teams would wish to be able to do, especially where the losses came against strong opponents like Des Moines Christian, Coon Rapids-Bayard, Earlham and Exira-EHK. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that at their awards banquet, they found that they had a great year in the stats books as well.

“We had 21 records that we broke again this year. So, just all around, we were a solid team. And, yeah, we didn’t always get it done, but we played hard and we played the way we were capable of. So I was proud with what the girls did, and happy with where the program is. And hopefully we can continue that.”

Baudler mentions that the senior leadership was great this year, and helped make sure that the large group of freshmen that came into the program felt welcome and encouraged. He adds that he’s extremely thankful for the amazing group he was able to work with, and to the communities that make up the AC/GC district for allowing him the opportunity to coach their daughters and friends.
