The City of Adel asks residents to remove all headstone decorations to be removed from Oakdale Cemetery.

The city says removing the items allows their crews to safely and efficiently begin seasonal maintenance and grounds care. 

The city adds that any items remaining after March 16 will be removed during routine maintenance. 

Graves may be decorated again from the Friday before Memorial Day until June 4. Urns that are a part of the headstones may be decorated at any time.
