DCG track and field competes together today at the indoor championships on the campus of Iowa State University.

The Lied Recreation Center hosts the Iowa Association of Track Coaches indoor championships this year, which features some of the top athletes in high school track and field. This will be the sixth year this event has been hosted in Ames, although indoor championships have a history dating back all the way to 1931, according to the IHSAA.

In 2026, DCG and its athletes will compete for the 5th straight season. Last year, as a team, the girls placed but were tied for 21st with three other schools. The boys fared better, finishing right inside the top ten in 7th. Jack Meggisen earned the only medal, finishing first in the 800m.

Both the boys and girls look to pace the pack at the IATC indoors at the Lied Rec Center today from Iowa State University.
