The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls and Boys Track and Field Teams participated in the Iowa Association Track Coaches Indoor Championships Class 3A section in Ames on Thursday, as senior Elise Coghlan walked away in first place in the Girls 60 Meter Hurdles.

The Tigers raced against 40 other schools at the Lied Recreation Athletic Center, garnering third place overall with 41 total points. For the girls, Coghlan won the 60 Meter Hurdles with a time of 8.99 seconds, as senior Haley Nelson was third at 9.31 seconds. Tiger senior Brecken Morse marked seventh in the open 400 meters with a time of 59.96 seconds, and was eighth in the 200 meters at 26.92 seconds. In the relays, the ADM Girls 4×100 Meter Team (50.46 seconds) and 4×400 Meter Team (4:08.77) captured second place finishes.

On the boys side, Tiger sophomore Zane Johnson notched first place in the 200 meters with a time of 21.90 seconds and was also second in the 60 Meter Dash at 6.99 seconds. Junior Parker Hook finished fifth in the 400 meters at 51.03 seconds, while senior Ty Landphair tallied fifth in the 800 meters at 2:02.41. The relays saw ADM’s Boys 4×100 Meter Team grab second place (43.97 seconds), and the 1600 Meters Sprint Medley notched third at 3:46.06.

The Tiger girls will return to action on Saturday, March 21st in Pella for the Central College Indoor Meet, while the boys will prepare for the ADM Coed Early Bird Meet in Adel on March 26th. The full results from the IATC Indoor Championships can be found by clicking here.
