The Iowa National Guard recently made a trip to Perry High School to work with the strength and condition program providing the Perry students a fun and engaging workout.
The National Guard workouts emphasized perseverance, focusing on pushing the students limits while enforcing mind over matter. The test included cardio, pulling weights and running with dumbbells.
Head Strength & Conditioning Coordinator Scott Pierce thanked the Iowa National Guard for a their time and praised all the athletes for their hard work and participation. Pierce also serves as an assistant Varsity Boys Track & Field coach.
