
The Panora City Council met in regular session Monday night.
The Council approved setting a reduced rental rate for the Community Center for Panora Lion’s Club events at $100, a recommendation from the planning and zoning commission regarding an amendment request from the Lutheran Church of Hope, who asked that churches be added as a permitted use in light industrial districts. They also approved supporting a submission of an application to the Hometown Pride program, with a total five year contribution amount of $12,500, a revised electric utility inspection and maintenance plan for Panora Municipal Electric Utility. The Council then approved a water access policy, and amendments to the utility customer service manual.
