The Warren Cultural Center is hosting a performance tonight that is perfectly themed for St. Patrick’s Day.
Des Moines Irish Session is set to perform at the WCC at 7pm, offering a traditional Irish seisiún. Ed Fallon, a member of the Des Moines Irish Session, notes that the group originated in 1992, with their first performance at Java Joe’s Cafe, and now boasts about 30 members. He explains that typical instruments used in a seisiún often include the bodhrán, whistle, accordion, fiddle, guitar, and vocals sung in Gaelic. The event is free to attend, though donations are welcome at the door.
