
One student for Greene County and Paton-Churdan High Schoosl have been nominated for the Iowa High School Speech Association Individual All-State Speech Festival.
According to the IHSSA, Greene County senior Savannah Lansman is a performing act for her Prose, while Paton-Churdan’s Phoenix Hartman is also a performing act for his Prose. Each student earned straight Division I-Ratings from their respective three room judges at this past Saturday’s state contest. They were additionally nominated by the judges to go to All-State.
As for the other students that competed at the state contest this past Saturday that earned Division I-Ratings but weren’t selected for All-State included from P-C Ella Tasler in Poetry and Literary Program, Kaliyah Minnihan for Literary Program, Lily Trecker in Prose and Maggie Smith for Poetry. Greene County also had Lansman getting a Division I-Rating in Expository and Becca Anderson with Poetry.
The All-State Festival takes place on Monday, March 30th on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa.
