The West Central Valley drama department is getting ready for their spring play next week.
Director Nancy Bauch says that the students will be performing “Summer of KAOS” by Stephen Murray. She shares that the play takes place at a summer camp that is known for its radio station and its goofy head counselor Wanda Schneider, and explains that at the beginning of the play, head counselor Wanda Schneider is unable to pay off the mortgage for the camp. Lucinda Scorch, the world’s richest woman, shows up offering to purchase the camp, but before the camp can be purchased, the health inspector has to complete her inspection. Unfortunately, due to a 37 and a half year phenomenon known as the El Gordo winds, the camp is infested with 500 mice. Watch the play as the counselors and campers come together to save the camp and make the world a better place for all of the mice in the camp.
A list of the cast members can be found in this story online. Tickets will be available for $6 at the door on the performance nights of March 27th and 28th.
