Chad Morton is pleased with the start the Greene County High School boys’ track & field squad has had to the 2026 season. The head coach schedule three indoor meets with two down and one to go. The Rams were inside the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls on March 9 and competed on March 13 in Ames at the Lied Student Recreation Center on the Iowa State U. campus.

The head coach commented on those two meets. “They went better than I expected. You never have to worry about the boys ready to compete. It’s more about the boys being ready to be on the track, getting nervous about running, trying to figure out where you’re at with your training and competition. I was pleasantly surprised and am looking forward to seeing what we’ll do this weekend as well.”

The Greene County girls and boys will be indoors on the Buena Vista U. campus in Storm Lake on Saturday at 10 a.m.
