The deadline is fast approaching to nominate businesses, organizations and individuals for the Perry Chamber’s annual awards.

Executive Director Lynsi Pasutti says the awards will be handed out during the chamber’s Annual Dinner on April 7. She adds that the dinner is a way to celebrate the past year’s successes while also recognizing individuals and businesses who went above and beyond.

Nominations for the Volunteer of the Year, Ambassador of the Year and Business of the Year are open through tomorrow.

Pasutti details that the Spirit of Perry Business of the Year Award celebrates a business that best embodies the spirit of the Perry Chamber of Commerce and the Perry Community by serving as an example to others through their leadership, service and commitment. New this year, three categories – Large Business, Small Business and nonprofit – will be recognized.

The Jack Finneseth Memorial Volunteer of the Year Award celebrates an individual that best embodies the spirit and passion Mr. Finneseth had about volunteerism. Like Mr. Finneseth, this individual goes above and beyond to ensure the success of many events and programs through selflessness and many volunteer hours, much of the time going unrecognized.

Pasutti explains that the Chamber Ambassador of the Year celebrates a volunteer that has shown great dedication to the Perry Chamber of Commerce over the past year through their attendance and volunteerism, representing the chamber at events and supporting the mission of the organization.

Nominations can be submitted by emailing info@PerryIAChamber.org or through an online survey link.
