A Chargers head coach has a fun opportunity coming up.

Girls Basketball Head Coach Brad Baudler will be one of two coaches for the Southwest team for the 2026 Pizza Ranch Iowa Basketball Coaches Association Senior All-Star Series. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that while he and Council Bluffs St Alberts Head Coach Richard Wettengel are considered the leaders for the team, they have a different approach they want to go with.

“It’s basically going to be like, ‘Hey, you guys are really good basketball players. Here’s the ball, go score, go have fun, play together and enjoy the great competition.’ So I’m looking forward to it. It should be a good time.”

Baudler shares that it’s a great honor to be able to coach these amazing senior players for their last game wearing their school’s jerseys. The games will be held March 28th at the Dallas Center-Grimes Meadows and Auxiliary Gymnasiums starting at 10:45am for the girls, and noon for the boys.
