
The 2026 primary elections are a few months away.
Adair County Elections Deputy Nathan Reed shares that there are five offices up for election, including County Attorney, Treasurer, Recorder, and two Board of Supervisor positions. He says that the filing period for all Democrats and Republicans across the state ends tomorrow at 5pm. Reed mentions that any and everyone looking to run for office in the 2026 general election must go through the primary election on June 2nd. According to Guthrie County Auditor Dani Fink, there are six offices up for election in Guthrie County, including three Board of Supervisors seats, and the offices of County Attorney, Recorder and Treasurer. The first day to request an absentee mail in ballot is March 24th, with the final day being May 18th.
