Greene County Development Corporation (GCDC) has been hard at work revamping its organization and recently launching its new website.
GCDC Executive Director Greg Piklapp says the website now features photos, links to different resources for growing a business, along with available commercial sites and joining as an investor online.
“So, you’re going to be able to go to our website, put in your investment data, you can commit to your investment level and then login that way, and then get updates and sign up for different things at different investment levels.”
Piklapp points out that GCDC has moved to a three annual level investment approach to the organization that includes Bronze at $500, Silver for $1,000 and Gold at $2,500. He details that there are several benefits for each level that builds on itself, with one caveat being that if an individual or a business is a Bronze investor they are not an automatic board member, but are eligible to serve in another capacity.
“But you can be selected to serve on exec. (board). So that way our rural communities and our smaller rural areas that don’t have the investment capability, they still have the ability to be selected and voted on by the board to participate at the exec. board member. So we have that input, so that we have people.”
Piklapp notes that individuals who are examples of that include Mary Weaver from Rippey who is a Bronze level investor and was voted by the Board to be a rural representative on the executive board. Click the link below to access the new GCDC website.
