With spring break in session at Perry High School, Perry Strength and Performance Coordinator Scott Pierce explained how students can still stay in shape without being in town to attend the PSP sessions during spring break.

Pierce shared that many students asked for advice on what workouts to do or how to approach working out while on spring break.

“I got a couple of these questions from student but I love when I ask questions like this and the first one is, ‘does the place that you’re going to have a type of weight room and stuff?’ One of the things I strive to have students do when they leave us at the high school level is, they’ll be able to walk into any weight room and know exactly what to do and how to implement it. When they have no equipment we do enough plyometric drills, that’s all body weight, that they’d be able to throw together a 25-30 minute workout that would be just fine keeping their routine, and I trust that these students that have bought in for this whole time are doing that right now.”

Students return to classes from spring break on Monday at Perry High School.
