Team registrations are open for a new fundraising event with Jefferson Matters.

Director Matt Wetrich says the Bowl-ieve in Jefferson takes place at the local bowling alley in Jefferson, Spare Time Lanes, on April 18th from 7-9pm. He explains that this idea comes from their Organizational Team, which is responsible for recruiting and maintaining volunteers for Jefferson Matters, as well as the fundraising arm of the group.

“And Bob Cisneros is now chairing that team. And he brings this experience of these bowling fundraisers from his time of running zoos out West or being a zoo employee and those guys are always looking for funding too. So, we’ve got a great format in place.”

Wetrich details that teams of five can register until April 4th for $50 per team for two games of bowling. He talks about cool awards that will be given during the event.

“One of the neat things that we’re going to do is we’re getting five sort of, if you will, retired bowling pins from the bowling alley here and they’re going to be painted by artists and then mounted as trophies for different things.”

Wetrich points out that each bowling team member is encouraged to collect $100 of donations that will go directly to Jefferson Matters and the programs that they do throughout the year. Click here to sign up a team.
