The nomination filing period wraps up tomorrow for individuals wanting to run for county-elected positions for the upcoming June Primary election.

Dallas County has eight seats open for election and no vacancies looking to be filled, according to the Dallas County Auditor’s Office. The elected positions include Districts 1-5 on the Board of Supervisors, the county attorney, recorder and treasurer.

The Board is expanding from three to five members and Districts 4 and 5 will be for a two-year term.

The Auditor’s Office says candidates need 100 signatures to be eligible for the ballot. The signatures must be from eligible voters who are residents of Dallas County. Candidates for county offices will file their paperwork with the Dallas County Auditor’s Office, 210 N 10th Street, in Adel.

The deadline to submit nomination papers is by 5 p.m. tomorrow.
