Greene County and Paton-Churdan are scheduled to participate in an indoor track & field meet at 10 a.m. today in Storm Lake. The Rams and Rockets are taking part in the Buena Vista University Coed Indoor Meet for high school girls and boys.

Coach Chad Morton has the Greene County boys entered in 10 of the 14 events and girls’ head coach Derek Merk has entered the Rams in 12 of 15 events. This is the last of three indoor meets for the Rams after they went to the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls and the Lied Student Recreation Center in Ames last week. Greene County begins the outdoor season this Tuesday, March 24 in Indianola at Simpson College.

Paton-Churdan coach Kory Jeschke wasn’ t certain what events the Rockets will enter at BVU when he was contacted earlier this week by Raccoon Valley Radio. Class 1A 2025 State Champion high jumper Trevon Keely is sidelined with a leg injury. Today’s meet is the first of the season for the Rockets.
