The deadline to purchase tickets for Adel Fireman’s Dance is fast approaching.

Volunteer Fire Association President David Lee says the fourth annual dance will be held from 5-11 p.m. next Saturday, March 28 at Country Lane Lodge in Adel. Doors will open at 5 p.m. with a silent auction. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m., catered by DM Bacon and Meat Company. Lee adds that Suede will provide live music from 7:30-11 p.m.

He explains that the department started hosting a dance four years ago as a fundraiser.

“We started more to fundraise a little bit but also just a chance for the community to get out and have some fun. It’s a great thing to just get together, have live entertainment, some food and a chance to win some stuff.”

Tickets are $25 and will be available through tomorrow. Lee details that community members can purchase tickets through any of the volunteer firefighter members or by messaging the fire department’s Facebook page.

All proceeds will be used to purchase needed equipment for the fire department.
