Greene County Medical Center is celebrating some of its team members with special recognitions Tuesday.

CEO Chad Butterfield says the Van Zelderen Excellence Award and the years of service awards will be presented tomorrow at 2pm in the main lobby of the medical center. He shares some insight into how the five nominees for this year’s Van Zelderen Excellence Award are chosen.

“This is an award that is completely selected by the team members (of the medical center). The senior team is not involved, we simply are fortunate enough to be able to present and read the nominations. Everything else is done by the team members. So, it truly is within our community, within our team, they’re identifying who they believe really exemplifies that excellence award.”   

Butterfield points out that they will also be recognizing other team members that have reached certain service milestones with the medical center. Other recipients of the Van Zelderen Excellence Awardees can be found below.
