A former track and field athlete from Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School, who is competing at the collegiate level, will be featured on tonight’s Raccoon Valley Bank PM Sports Magazine on KDLS.
London Warmuth is a 2025 graduate of ADM, and currently attends the University of Wisconsin where she high jumps for the Badgers. She reveals that she began looking into colleges during her high school sophomore year, initially for academic purposes, but then realized she wanted to pursue track and field after her junior season.
Warmuth says she went on several college visits, with her last one to Wisconsin, and immediately knew that is where she wanted to go. Now that she’s on the cusp of wrapping up her freshman year at Wisconsin, Warmuth offers some advice to her former Tiger teammates.
“Have fun and make mistakes. You’ve probably heard a hundred times that high school is a time to make mistakes, but it’s true. In a year, you won’t see high school as important as it is. You’re going to have so much fun in college just because of the opportunities, and don’t be afraid of the new.”
Warmuth just finished the indoor season, and describes that the Big Ten Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana has been her favorite venue to compete at so far. She’ll be on tonight’s Raccoon Valley Bank Sports PM Magazine on KDLS 94.3/99.7 FM and AM 1310, starting at 6pm. The program features interviews with coaches, players, and activities directors from Perry and Dallas Center-Grimes High School as well.
