Jason Lutterman, head coach of the Perry Bluejays track team, explained the importance of encouraging all of his athletes on and off the track.
Coach Lutterman explained that this encouragement comes from him, the coaching staff, and the upperclassmen on the squad.
“One of my main rules is, ‘we stay positive and we cheer for everybody’. In the meets, at practice, we are always encouraging saying ‘hey good job’. When we see someone putting in effort from across the track, we’ll walk over and tell them hey good job.”
With unofficial scrimmage action in Ogden today, the Perry Bluejays track team look to set a baseline tonight to judge improvement throughout the season.
