As the West Central Valley Girls Soccer Team gears up for the 2026 season, senior Braylie Harding is hoping to bring positive attributes from last year.
Harding reveals that she began playing soccer during elementary school, and really enjoys competing with the Wildcats because of the fun environment. As a junior, Harding participated in all 16 games for West Central Valley, scoring a total of three goals on 13 shots and had one assist.
During last season, the Wildcats finished with a record of 10-5-1, where they ultimately lost 3-0 to St. Albert in the Class 1A Regional Second Round game. Harding highlights that there’s plenty of good aspects that can carry over to this year.
“Winning those games gives us confidence to want to strive and continue to win them again. And it also helps us find those areas where we need to grow and improve.”
West Central Valley will host a scrimmage on Thursday in Stuart versus the Perry Jayettes, and then will host their season opener against Panorama on Friday, April 3rd.
