The March meeting of the Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center School Boards saw the approval of the overnight trip for the Distributive Education Clubs of America out-of-state trip.
Superintendent Josh Rasmussen says that the group did very well at their state event, and will be attending the International Career Development Conference (ICDC). He tells Raccoon Valley Radio where they will be heading.
“We have our business department and Mrs.Jen Betterton. We’ll take four students to Atlanta, Georgia to compete in and present in various business electives and activities there in Atlanta. So (we’re) excited for them. This is a trip they’ve gone on every year if they qualify.”
Rasmussen mentions that not only is there a lot of support from the school, but from the communities as well. He adds that the ICDC will be April 25-28, and that the four students going are junior Preston Kent, and seniors Irelyn Wirt, Angel Martinez and Max Trujillo-Garcia.
