A popular program about Pocket Prairies is returning for the third time in Dallas County.
Iowa State Extension and Outreach of Dallas County initially held events in Perry and Adel in February. The extension has added a third program, which will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. on Monday at the Waukee Public Library.
The extension says attendees will discover how small native plant spaces can make a big difference in our local environment. The extension adds that miniature prairies are becoming a powerful tool for conservation in our own backyards by boosting pollinator populations and improving soil health while adding natural beauty.
While the program is free, space is limited and registration is required by calling the extension office at (515) 993-4281.
